Create local user in Hyper-V Windows OS

During the installation of Windows 11 in a Hyper-V VM, you may be required to log in with or create a Microsoft account. However, if you just want to create a local user:

  1. Press Shift + F10 to open command prompt
  2. Enter start ms-cxh:localonly; a new screen will pop up that will allow you to enter the new user’s username and password
